Please be advised that we currently have three servers remaining in the Houston, Texas area whose operation can be affected by hurricane Rita's expected landfall this weekend. While we are taking steps to reduce the impact a service disruption will cause to our overall service, anyone who has Ensim based web hosting services with us is at risk of having some level of service outage caused by this storm.

While the data center has been taking steps to prepare for the storm, we are going to make offsite backups of everyone's websites prior to the storm's arrival so that we can get service restored should there be a catastrophic failure to our servers located there.

We will update this thread with more information as it becomes available. If you have any questions about this matter, please contact us at support@netwisp.com.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we deal with this difficult situtation.

We are happy to annouce that there have been no problems yet with the servers we have in the Houston area since Rita made landfall last night. Thankfully, the storm landed east of Houston which spared it the brunt of the storm's force. The data center began running their generators since about 6:30 PM yesterday when the Houston power grid started to become erratic and they will continue to run them until things improve. The internet backbone providers to the data center have not had any issues so there have been no connection issues either.

Based on the current situtation, it doesn't look like we'll have any issues related to the storm, but we'll update this thread should conditions change.

As always, you are welcome to contact us at support@netwisp.com if you have any questions about this matter.

Thanks for your patience during this situtation!
