There has been a drive failure on vps2.netwisp.com that has caused all the VPSes hosted on it to go offline. While the data is intact because of the RAID array, we still need to repair the file system due to errors that took place at the time the drive failed. Once the repairs are done, we will be able to bring everyone's VPSes back online and replace the failed drive in the array.

I will update this topic once more information becomes available.

While trying to restore service on the vps2.netwisp.com server today, the controller has started to report a second drive failure. If this has happened, this will complicate the repair process as it means the RAID array has failed and we will need to reformat the server. We are continuing to investigate this matter further and I will update this topic when I have more information.

Thanks for your patience in this matter

We are waiting for a senior tech to arrive at the data center to help assist with fixing the RAID array. In the meantime, we are starting to copy the nightly backups we have to our other servers so that in the event the RAID array is not recoverable, we can start to restore them which will get everyone back up and running as quickly as possible.

I will post more information when it becomes available.

Greetings,

We were able to get the RAID array mounted last night in order to copy off the data which we did not have backups for. We completed the copy process a short while ago and are now replacing the failed drives so we can reinstall Linux and Virtuozzo on the server. Once the software is reinstalled, we can begin moving everyone back to it.

We apologize for the delay in this repair process. Its been a difficult process trying to recover from a multiple drive failure on the raid array.

I will provide more information as it becomes available.
